In May 2008, ASME Europe will be hosting 5 specialist training courses in Turin. The courses - combining technical and management knowledge - are based around ASME codes and standards, the most widely recognised and used set of standards used in industries across the world.

SPOTLIGHT - Inspection, Repair and Alteration of Pressure Vessels

Like all equipment, pressure equipment and pressure vessels require regular and inspection to ensure smooth operation: failure of a pressure vessel could lead to significant safety hazards and impede on other key activities. ASME Codes and Standards - commonly used around the world - offer an efficient approach to the theory and practice of inspection, repair and alteration of pressure vessels.

Intended for beginners as well as those who need to update their knowledge in line with current Standards, the course will review the critical elements involved in effective, professional engineering practise. Practical exercises ensure trainees have grasped the technical elements of the training and offer  the opportunity to benefit from the wide experience of both the course tutor and fellow engineers engaged in the training.

Course instructor Kamran Mokhtarian has worked with pressure equipment for over 40 years and works closely with ASME on a number of committees which are focused on pressure vessels and pressure vessel research.
