the primary seals of the compressors

Achieving Net Zero Emissions is one of the key objectives pursued by Techfem together with its
partners and customers. To achieve this objective, our company is also investing significant re-
sources to reduce methane gas emissions in the plants and power plants of the national network.
Techfem was involved by Snam Rete Gas in the detailed design and work supervision activities
for the creation of a system that allows natural gas to be recovered from the primary seals of
                                      centrifugal compressors.
The project concerns the Poggio Renatico (FE) booster station owned by SNAM and allows the
recovery of approximately 8 Sm3/h of methane for each centrifugal compressor affected by the
modification. The gas recovery system, the subject of the article, consists of a package supplied
by CUBOGAS, the company controlled by SNAM through Greenture.
